TAKE THE HARVEST CHALLENGE >>

Ithaca Community Harvest (ICH), in Tompkins County, New York strives to create, sustain and expand a system for providing access to local organic produce to youth and families in Ithaca’s public schools, with particular focus on historically marginalized populations. The system will be integrated into school and after-school culture, curriculum and meal programs, as well as in the home, through empowering the community to exchange volunteer labor for donated produce from our local farms and school gardens, supporting food and nutrition education initiatives and strengthening collaboration amongst community programs with similar food access and equity goals.

HOST A HARVEST DINNER PARTY >>

Healthy Food for All provides households with limited income in Tompkins County to access a variety of fresh, locally grown produce at a price they can afford through Solidarity (subsidized) Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares. Participants can also take advantage of classes, workshops events and resources to support their healthy lifestyle choices.

The mission of Primitive Pursuits (Ithaca, New York) is to steward the health of our community by fostering life-long relationships with the natural world through exceptional mentoring and nature education. “This program brings children to the labratory of learning and gives them new windows through which they can percieve themselves, their peers, and the world around them. They are challenged to engage in their natural environment not just as a pass throguh from one building or vehicle to the next, or just a venue for sports that can’t be played inside, but rather as the ultimate sphere of existence and one that is credibly our only true ‘container’.” – C. Higgins
